Qualifications & Experience

EXPERIENCED BUILDING INSPECTOR FOr New York's older Homes

Would you like a seasoned New York City building and construction professional to perform your Brooklyn, Queens or Manhattan home inspection?    Since arriving in NYC in 1995, Steve Cymbalsky has worked in and on some of the finest historic commercial and residential buildings in Brooklyn, Queens, and Manhattan.   With a background in building services that includes monthly inspections of all systems, including roofs, brick and mortar, plumbing, fire sprinkler and standpipe systems and the daily inspection and operation of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems and alarm systems, Steve knows his way around buildings and the problems they can present.   Prior to college,  Steve worked for a contractor installing roofing, windows, siding, storm doors, and gutters. During college he installed windows and sanded floors.   After college, Steve worked for one of the best known property management firms along the coast of North and South Carolina as a superintendent for a luxury, resort condo complex where he was responsible for the inspection, maintenance and improvement of the entire property including the operation of a heated, indoor swimming pool and spa.   On returning to NY, Steve was part of the professional management team for several commercial and historic buildings.   This included managing fire and life safety, maintenance, repairs, and improvements at a now landmarked building on West 57th St as well as other historic buildings.   After years of doing side projects while working alongside other professionals, Steve became a licensed contractor, focusing on restoration work in New York City's historic homes.   His own business has become one of the best known specialty restoration firms in the metropolitan New York City area where he has continued to find problems and create solutions.  Putting his skills to work on his own 1920's Queens row house,  he performs regular inspections of the roof, boiler and exterior mortar and makes repairs as needed.
